No, Minnesota will vote for whoever the DFL puts on the top of the ballot. Minnesota Republicans will split between the religious right (Cruz) and the Chamber of Commerce (Rubio). Trump does not have a natural constituency here. He is NOT Minnesota Nice. Minnesota does not have much tolerance for rude people.

Also, Minnesota did not suffer as much during the recession or under Obama as some other states, so we don’t have quite as much visceral anger. I think Trump was wise to give it a pass.

My concern is if Trump gets the nomination how many house and senate seats will be lost and will we lose the the Minnesota House too.

I really hope people will remember how important it is to vote the rest of the ballot, even if you pass on the top.

Isn’t MN the only state Reagan lost in 84?

Trump still got 3rd place, 21%.

In some of those other primaries, 3rd place in the 20s was a sort of victory.

And Clinton got crushed; that’s one good thing, I’d hate seeing Sanders as President but probably would hate seeing HRC in there twice as much.
