It is fascinating how people are revealing their true positions in this election. Long held suspicions are being revealed daily.

By the time Sasse has to run, Trump will either have been defeated or proven such a disaster that Sasse will win by a landslide.

Outside of Trump, I will never vote GOP again.

I whole-heartedly agree.

I don’t believe that at all.

I believe he’s trying to keep Trump from winning the nomination.

What would he want a democrat president?

Such tortured logic should be deemed cruel and unusual.

Donnie can’t define “conservative” and I’ve seen efforts by Trumpanzees to redefine it.

Fine. I’ll play that game. If you support Trump you are not a conservative.

So, 0% of conservatives support Trump.

Your ex had a way with words.

Interesting statistics about Trump supporters.

Going against McConnell is catering to the GOPe?

Gee, I learn something new every day.

I’m speaking more practical outcome rather than what a specific player like Sasse might be trying to do with his actions. Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons.

Overall this sort of thing works to Conservatives advantage. Trump is building and riding a movement that’s independent of the GOP apparatus. This sort of thing only helps him with his supporters. But allowing downticket candidates the independence to run towards him or away from them, even fostering their ability to do so, based on the particular circumstances of their voters, will help save many threatened downticket seats.

So, chris. First thanks for giving me the right to support Cruz.

So many people here seem to think that is not my right or at least tantamount to being a traitor.

But I see you are saying you would not vote for Rubio if he was nominated.

And yet Trump people here have crucified others for saying they won’t vote for a candidate they similarly dislike.

Excuse me, he went against McConnell... did you miss that or ignore it.

Then how is he at 49% in the polls?

Your math doesn’t add up.

Extremely sensible posts. Congrats.

So, don’t tell the guy who just endorsed you to go get on the plane and get out?

Yes, Trump should tone it down and try to become the non-Trump if he gets the nomination.

But Trump cannot do that. He doesn’t have that much control over his mouth or his emotions.

Just one more thing that makes him dangerous.

I want raw numbers of each party and candidate. Percentages are stats and since I can’t do stats but know enough about them that they are BS most of the time, I want raw data. LOL

The thing about Rubio is I already voted for him once in Florida.

It’s partly because of me that he is now in a position to run for president.

I’m pretty bitter about that.

This guy already lied to me once for my vote. I can’t let him do that again.

Maybe other people outside of Florida will look on him differently since they have not voted for him or have been directly lied to by him.

But trump is right when he said Rubio could not be elected dog catcher in Florida at this point.

Even though I have my problems and doubts with Ted Cruz, the Corker Bill being the biggest of those, I would still set that aside and vote for him.

If America elects Hillary, I may very well go find a new country to live in.

I don’t like Rubio either. He’s a total jerk. He’s now criticizing the short fingers because he knows Trump is sensitive about that.

I do that all the time ... the short fingers, but I’m not a senator nor likely to ever be one.

I was focusing on your statement that you would not vote for Rubio if he was nominated.

Why is that different from people who loathe Trump saying they would not vote for Trump if nominated?

It is amazing how some folks seem unable to set aside their emotions and see the clear logic of what you're saying.

A senate in which Chuck Schumer is running things is going to be worse for any GOP Presidential nominee than a Senate run by McConnell. The time to "primary" Senators who aren't sufficiently conservative is during the primaries, not during the general election.

I have short fingers too. I can’t palm a basketball and never could. So I guess Rubio is also telling me that I have a small... ah never mind.

but on Rubio, like I said he has already conned me for my vote once. I know exactly who he is.

I’ve never voted for Trump or Cruz, so both of those guys I can separate from Rubio already having lied to get my vote once previously.

If a person says they hate Trump so much that they aren’t going to vote for him, that is their choice.

There isn’t really anything I can do about that.

It’s up to Trump to close the deal, even with people who do not want to hear from him at all. That is a skill that a master salesman should have. Someone who wrote The Art of the Deal should know that not all sales presentations are go to be ideal.

Some are going to be in hostile territory already owned by a competitor, so how do you get that done?

That’s up to him to answer, and we will see if he can.

A leader unites. That’s what Reagan did, so we will see if Trump can do the same. If he can’t then he likely won’t win.
