I never said the number of people following a candidate automatically translates into a good candidate. LOL!
I said he’s probably going to win based on numbers we are seeing at all the rallies combined.
Nevertheless, all the people that attack Trump don’t really attack him for his positions. Its always something like they don’t trust him or an exchange he had with someone. Again for the most part it’s never about policy.
I get how people can have concerns with his past. Although you have to remember he was a businessman in a liberal city and not politician. So Trump had to play the game. I get that, and know many people in that situation. If Trump would have said the things back then that he says today, then Trump would have been booted out of New York.
The people who have personally known him for years say this is the real Donald Trump and not the guy you saw in the media.
Trump admits he has no need to ask for forgiveness. What Christian do you know, that believes that? Can one honestly be a Christian and never ask for forgiveness or see the need to?
That in and of itself, gives me great pause about Trump. But there are many things about the man, his lack of character, his bravado, his brash personality, as a person, he does not seem like a good person, IMO.
But speaking to his politics, I don’t believe he’s a Conservative. Not by the standards I hold. He never speaks of the Constitution, the Constitutional process, or even about the limits that the federal government should be operating on. Everything Trump proposes, required MORE government, BIGGER over reach and MORE involvement into our lives. And what’s worse, is he has no problem using EO’s. He has already come out and said Obama’s actually opened the door and he (Trump) will do what HE thinks needs to be done with them. And his latest statements about punishing those who speak “negatively”, will need to be sued for libel, and have their money taken away. Who does that? He’s completely ignoring the 1st amendment and our God given right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom from the govt establishing a religion or prohibiting us from practicing ours, freedom to assemble peacefully and freedom to petition the government for a redress of grievances. He wants to usurp that, and as leader of the govt, decide what is negative and what is not, and then punish accordingly.
If people don’t know their history, they can accept Trump by his rhetoric and catchy slogans. If people don’t understand that Trump is telling us what he plans, just like Obama did, and if people don’t listen, wake up and really think hard about the kind of man that will take charge of this country, it’ll either be a HUGE mistake and America will be lost, or it’ll be the best thing we can do, to turn America around.
For me, there’s only one choice, because I solidly believe in the Constitution and the Bible. Those are the ONLY solutions to fix what is wrong with our country. And there is no Making America Great again, without understanding what made it GOOD to begin with. We have to get back to THAT, first. And there’s only ONE MAN who has a proven consistent record of upholding and fighting (many times alone) for the Constitution and who also appreciates Biblical values as a core for what this nation was founded on (and needs to get back to). That man is Ted Cruz.
