Unless you count Guam or something weird, Cruz MIGHT get 4-—IA doesn’t count. He would have TX and what? He won’t come close to a majority in UT or AR, thought he might win each state.
Guam, Marianas Islands, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico have all been targeted by Cruz in his strategy to get to 8, so he should get those. Maybe Texas, although getting 50% will be tough. He might get a couple of western states that have caucuses, too (Idaho, North Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska).
But Trump has this in the bag unless something very weird happens. The GOP had been hoisted on their own petard - no other candidate can be nominated for the first ballot, which means no other candidate can be voted for. No other candidates eligible means those delegates who are sworn to other candidates just don’t vote — they have no one to vote for.
The GOP meant to make it a coronation for Bush, and they made it a coronation for Trump.
