A cat was jumpy but "amazingly fine" after becoming trapped in a vehicle's bumper while it traveled about 8 miles in San Diego County on Feb. 24, 2016, animal services officials said. (Credit: County of San Diego Department of Animal Services)

I am less than one mile from Grantville. That whole ride was up a mountain and back down with very few stop lights or very much traffic. It is a pretty smooth unobstructed drive, thank God!

The ride up on a bicycle must be a gut buster and down must be a total blast.

Safer place to be than outside certain restaurant.

I acquired one of our kitties when I worked at a fairly remote location. One of the staff came to work and came and got me and told me they heard strange noises coming from the car’s engine compartment. Of course it was a cat, who had ridden non-stop maybe 35 miles or so. Nobody could locate an owner at the origination point, so she came home with me, maybe 13 or 14 years or so ago, and has been a great member of our cat family. I have no idea how she survived that ride, and I’m so glad the kitty in this story fared as well as Cookie.

Maybe in your neck of the woods but this was an obvious case of autocatjacking........and the cat got busted.
To: stocksthatgoup
No kidding. I had one that rode over 20 miles under the hood.
