What I read attributes the halts to waiting for fuel and other units to catch up. Not true?

Yes, we kept having to wait for VII Corps to catch up to us. Also, the Corps commander had a case of the slows. Read McGregor’s book Warriors Rage about it. My CO was the hero of the Battle and is now a LT General.
