Such short memories.
Saddam supported terrorists.
Saddam constantly threatened our allies payed the family of terrorists for killing Jews.
Saddam gassed his own people.
Saddam invaded another country.
He tried to assassinate one of our presidents.
He was a brutal, brutal dictator who fed detractors into a wood chipper for goodness sake.

Saying we should have left him alone after the invasion of Kuwait? That is akin to saying we should have stayed out of WWII Europe.

Staying out of it was what the people in America were demanding, until we were attacked. We used to be an isolationist country for most of our history. Since WW2 though, our politicians seem determined to send our young men to die for causes which affect them only tangentially all over the world.

Great post.

But it’s not short memory, it’s that they never knew anything in the first place.

Blind leading the blind.

Correct. Gulf War II was a natural consequence of not finishing Gulf War I as we could have easily done in February 1992.

Yeah, it might have cost Bush the election. < / sarcasm >

That's the ticket. Go get all morally outraged when the interests of globalists are threatened.

Were you ready to send your children to war to oust Suharto from power after he used his Muslim nation to invade East Timor and murder about 250,000 Roman Catholics?

Are you ready to send your children to fight China and remove them from Tibet and their ethnic cleansing of the Uighurs?

The globalists have no interest in these victims so I suspect you believe its none of our business.

He was actively violating the terms of the ceasefire from Gulf War I, not allowing inspectors to go where they wanted to go and taking shots at our planes defending the no fly zone. He also murdered many thousands of Kurds right under out noses.

That alone was justification for taking him out.
