First of all, I apologize for my off-color remark. You did nothing to deserve it.
When Reagan ran against Carter I did vote for RR, but I had my misgivings about what he would, or even could do, as Chief Executive. He used to be a Democrat from California. He was an actor.
But I voted for him because (I thought) he sincerely loved America and that was better than an inept, closet communist like Jimmah.
I believe both Cruz and Trump sincerely love America and want to restore America to her former greatness. They obviously have different ways of doing things, but then again there’s more than one way to ‘the road back’.
The overriding factor for me is the open borders. We’re close to losing our country and culture forever. Unless the invasion is not only stopped but reversed, there will be nothing left to conserve.
—check this out: “ Dear Mr. Reagan, it should be obvious to you now that you can never be elected governor. Please put aside your ego, for the good of our party, and get behind the one man who is moderate enough to appeal to California voters - - San Francisco Mayor George Christopher.” Look Magazine 966 ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////AND George Christopher (R), commenting on his gubernatorial opponent, Ronald Reagan (R): Los Angeles Times, Feb 16, 1966 “Surely we should not seek a candidate who is not contemporary in his thought and who recklessly talks about disbanding the United Nations, dismantling the Social Security system, declaring war on North Vietnam and repealing the graduated income tax.”
Thought you might like that.
