I read the whole piece. Nowhere in there did Ted Cruz indicate that Roberts was his pick nor did he offer his own opinion on what kind of Justice Roberts would make. Instead, he cited what other people had to say about Roberts. Enough with the lies already.

Cruz: “He flew back to D.C. Tuesday night, argued a complicated trademark case Wednesday morning, and returned immediately to Florida to continue helping us represent the president. Few, if any, other lawyers could have accomplished such a feat. Judge Roberts is a lawyers’ lawyer. And that matters immensely, especially for the U.S. Supreme Court.”

Cruz published a highly complimentary piece about Roberts in National Review with the obvious purpose of advocating for his confirmation.
