You think Trump is actually running for President!?!? Six months from now he will bow out and admit that this was all a filming for the next Borat-style film. It will be a blockbuster. HUUUUUUUGE! This way he can make some real money cause there isn’t much money in actually being President.

“Trump is running on securing the border, negotiating trade deals advantageous to the American people, following our current immigration laws, taking good care of our Vets, narrowing the horrendous regulations on our small businesses and reigning in the corruption and bloat of the EPA, IRS, VA, Dept. of Ed. and other grossly overgrown departments of our government.”

Number 1. He is your best chance to change DC culture that has a lasting and profound effect. You won’t get it from Cruz or Rubio. It will be DC Beltway business as usual from these guys as they don’t have the ability.

Trumpists adore Trump because they’re angry and want a king to destroy it all.

They don’t want a George Washington. They want a Napoleon.

They are tired of “the establishment,” and their broken promises, and want it all broken. They want a violent revolution. Not a God-inspired one like our American Revolution, but a bloody secular one like the French Revolution.

The Vulgarian promises to do that, using the crassest, most ham-handed language. And the masses go wild ... :-/

Well. At the very least, nominating Trump will punish the GOP for decades of malfeasance.

That’s good enough for me. If we are lucky Trump may do one or two things that he promises. That would be more than we get from most politicians.

Because Trump is unabashedly pro American. Corker Bill was anything but.

I don't. But I heard a "man in the street" interview on cable where somebody, hardly a member of the GOP elite, say that he was supporting Trump because he didn't expect anything positive from Ted Cruz. Probably because Ted's made his career saying "no." That works here. That plays with people who are ideologically committed. But it doesn't go over well with real world voters who aren't committed members of an ideological camp. So that may be one reason why Trump is leading and Cruz is number three.

Another is that the "true conservative" approach isn't working. People are what they are politically within a given context. Change the context and they may change what they are. People who are with you to move the ball to a goal line 100 yards away, won't be if you move the goal post 5 miles away (or 5 inches, for that matter). Most Americans -- most Republicans -- don't want to go as far as Ted so they aren't with him. Also they don't think Ted can do what he promises, so they discount him as somebody who overpromises.

And personality counts for a lot, too. I don't know why so many people overlook Donald Trump's bad qualities, but it's clear that they aren't overlooking Ted's.

I watched one of his rallies last fall and he said one thing that struck me. That our military would no longer have to work and live in gun free zones. They shouldn’t be sitting ducks while they serve. I am an Army/NG mom, and this is very important to me. He is not going to leave our guys (and gals) twisting in the wind. Yes, I believe him, and many of us plan to hold him to it.

As far as I can tell, most Trump supporters seem disinterested in Trump’s long history as an avowed liberal on almost every issue worth discussing, or the fact that he has been an avowed conservative for all of five minutes. It seems to me that this is the year when patience with the establishment has finally run out. Anger is at such a boiling point that I really don’t think most Trump supporters even care about the general election. They are just so furious with the GOP leadership and moderate Republicans that all they are looking for is an opportunity to flip the GOPe the middle finger. And Donald Trump is the perfect medium for that.

You begin your question with an ad hominem attack. You proceed to make three assertions that have already been disproven (many, MANY times) and finish with another ad hominem attack.

You have no interest in the truth. You’re merely starting another flame thread.

At first, I welcomed baiting comments like yours. It helped me sharpen my teeth. But now people like you are beginning to look sad and desperate.

I’m sick and tired of going over the same material with people who have no interest in actually learning something. My name is not Google. You’re an adult and, I presume, that you have basic search skills. If you really wanted answers, you’d already have done the research for yourself.

Just pitiful.

Donald J. Trump will be our nominee when we wake up Wednesday morning.

I suggest that you embrace ‘the horror’ and learn to love the Don.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The Republicans lost me when that farkwad W. Bush said that we should just "move on" after Clinton pillaged the White House on his way out, and Sandy Berger went to the National Archives to edit and black line the Clinton files that hadn't been shredded.

They should have been in prison, or put up against a wall.

We are not going to let establishment folks pick our nominee this time. We don’t care what they say, true or not (since they lie so much, we can’t tell). Our minds are made up. We will not be dissuaded. We don’t care what Trump said or positions he held years ago. We care what he says NOW!

1. Finally building the border fence and securing the border.

Can we trust any of the others to actually follow through? I trusted George W Bush’s promise to build the fence and he LIED.

2. Send illegals back.

The establishment’s mantra that it’s impossible to build a fence and make Mexico pay for it and to send back millions of illegals is just bull$hit. Of course Trump can do it. Start getting tough enforcing immigration laws and MILLIONS will SELF deport. Then we can round up the rest.

3. Vet health care.

Will Trump fix the disgrace that is the VA? You betcha! You see, the difference here is that politicians keep promising stuff and never follow through. I can believe that Trump will do what he says on all these issues.

4. Rebuild the military.

This is a slam dunk, there will be no Rep opposition to this.

5. Fix the economy

It will be a new day in America. No more bad trade deals and repeal existing bad deals. Intelligent tax reform bringing back TRILLIONS of overseas dollars. Kick starting our lagging economy. Creating new jobs. Lowering the capital gain tax. Reining in the EPA, IRS, and other agencies. Repealing Obama’s executive orders, repealing Obamacare and replacing it with a less expensive, state run system, while maintaining a federal system (medicare/medicaid plus) so that no sick person is left behind (to die in the street). I’m sure I left out many others.

6. Appoint CONSERVATIVE judges to all federal courts, including the Supreme Court.

The Cruz narrative that Trump would appoint liberal judges is just ridiculous. Too much is at stake, Trump knows this.

7. Trump will fight and protect us from the Muslim threat.

Yes I said “Muslim”. It’s not the Catholics, the Amish, the Jews, the Christians, the Hindus, the Mormons, the Scientologists, Buddhists, Shintos, Jehovah Witness’, etc.

8. Trump will not be owned by special interests.

He is self funding just for that purpose. He will not be bribed. Also Trump is frugal. “On time, under budget” is almost a Trump motto. Look at how little money he has spent on his campaign. A master at money management.

9. Trump is a true patriot. Trump LOVES America as much as Obama hates America.

I’m sure I left out some, but these are some Huge reasons to support Trump.

But but but Trump USED TO perform abortions in his office, he’s been married and divorced TEN times, he gave billions of dollars to Democrats, and on & on.

How would that CHANGE anything I listed above? It doesn’t. Not one bit.

It has been said that we are not electing a “pope”. Well, we aren’t electing a saint either. We are electing a president, a CHIEF EXECUTIVE. Donald Trump is a great CHIEF EXECUTIVE.

For those who would say “yeah, but Trump lacks experience” (foreign policy etc.) I leave you with this:

“Let me remind you that I have a row of electric buttons in my office. All I have to do is press one of them to call the person who can answer any question on any subject I wish to know, relative to the business at hand. I take care of the business, they take care of the questions. Now would you be so good as to explain why, just to answer your questions, I should have a brain stuffed with general culture, when I am surrounded by employees who can supply any information I might want to know?”

Henry Ford (CHIEF EXECUTIVE)

Donald Trump loves Americans - the people. He will stop the financial bleeding we’ve been experiencing since 1999. He will stop the Muslim colonization of America. He will return us to our Christian-Judaeo foundations.

Getting the country back on track is necessary. If we don’t we will literally lose the country. A ball-busting American man is what we need.

I’ll take Cruz or Trump. I like Cruz, but I love Trump, and that’s why he’s going to win. People recognize he loves them — and they love him right back.
