No, there is something subtle in Trump’s remark about being a committed Christian. He is making a point that he does not want to attack directly, pointing out the hypocrisy of some of his opponent’s “Christianity.” Pointing out Hillary’s general dissembling about everything, claiming to be all sorts of things she is not (truthful for instance.)

Or maybe Trump really is quite committed to Christianity without being overtly religious. After all, you look at things a lot differently as you approach the last two decades or so of your life.

Everything Trump says is to make a point. He really does not make off-the-wall remarks for no reason. For instance, I just realized his outrageous remark about people still supporting him if he committed murder is actually a dig at Hillary. The Clintons have left a long trail of suspicious deaths in their wake, starting in Arkansas, through their White House years, to Benghazi. Yet the Clinton followers never question this, never think about it. This was Trump’s way of bringing this up, getting people to talk about this, after getting over the shock of what he said, without setting himself up to be called a conspiracy nut, etc., or accused of making outrageous slanders against St. Hillary, etc. And Hillary does not dare respond to this; she needs this remark to go away. It is quite clever on Trump’s part.

Every outrageous ridiculous remark Trump makes is intentional and it has a purpose.

One of the signs of a cult is that adherents can rationalize everything the cult leader says. No matter how he may contradict things he’s said previously. No matter how irrational. It doesn’t mater. Members are so psychologically invested in the infallibility of the cult leader that they can justify it.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses, for example, call it “New Light.” By this, they can change doctrine 180 degrees and because the Faithful and Discreet Servant has seen “New Light,” that new statement is correct and it’s as if the previous statement was never made.

You may do well to ask yourself: Is there ANYTHING Trump could say or do that you would not rationalize away? Honestly ask yourself that question.

Hank
