Lots of interesting stuff out there, seems a lot of noobies do not realize there is History page here. Tons of them running around these days. I use to go by sign up dates until a wise on Freeper showed me the ropes gets interesting sometimes.

>>> Wow! So those who serve our country in the military and take their wives with them lose their right to pass their citizenship to their offspring?

Not true.

Natural born citizenship is that citizenship which is INHERITED from both parentS...

Military who have children overseas have nbc children.

Place of birth only really comes into play where there is dual citizenship of parents, or other issues which make determining inheritance difficult.

I see where you’re coming from now.

Thankfully you don’t know what you’re talking about.

What a total crock.

Let's run the separate facts.

1) Obama is an Ivy League undergrad (Columbia).

2) Obama is an Ivy League grad (Harvard)

3) He's a lawyer.

Therefore, he is not, and can never have been, natural-"born"...

He hatched, as almost all Ivy League lawyers do (however, a very few are sharks, which are viviparous).

there’s a difference between natural born and naturalized. both are citizens, but only natural born citizens can run for president.

the issue is still murky because the democRATS intentionally made them murky to slip Obama past an ill informed voting public.

Obama is most definitely NOT a natural born citizen and everything he has done for the past 7+ years is illegal and invalid. he’s expressly forbidden from holding the office he holds. unfortunately, the USA is now a post-Constitutional state where the rule of man supercedes the rule of law, so nobody is lifting a finger to right this injustice.

when and why did all of these weird extra characters start showing up here when HTML quoting other people? i don’t recall seeing that at all a couple of months ago. i know the wrong apostrophe is one of the prime culprits, but it seems more widespread than just that.

I do know what I am talking about.... look who all sprinkled fairy dust over lord McCain... and who the lawyers were that concluded that lord McCain was eligible... Notice what was missing ...... ‘original intent’ of the Constitution.

Your brief moment of terrible nonsense doesn’t square. But you’re gone regardless.

I recall when FR was down for awhile, and I would get errors trying to log in. I’m pretty sure they occured right after that. I’m not sure if it was a hack-attack or what. I think that was the same time google and other search engines came up with a warning about FR (either a virus site or and extremist site).

So, while I am probably wrong - I think it is the result of a hack. I try to go through things I copy off an article or whatever, but I always seem to miss a few.

This is a well-trafficked site.

It is a conservative site. It is a site where conservatives can share information and stay informed on current events.

People who do not have conservative views sometimes want to pretend to be conservative and come here to play “Devil’s advocate” or spread disinformation. They usually get smoked out pretty quickly.

There is plenty of room for disagreement within conservatism, but this is not the place to go for someone who wants to argue against conservatism.

Interestingly, it appears the descendants of the Marquis de Lafayette could run for the office. The MD general assembly conveyed citizenship to help m and male heirs in perpetuity...

You noticed the same thing after FR had that last lengthy down time. This affliction affects quotation marks, dashes, apostrophes and bullet points. Many times I copy some of my earlier writings because it has quotations that took hours to find. All have to be corrected with reedited punctuation. It is a laborious endeavor. Even when my post has all the faux punctuation corrected, if I copy it, I find the problem is repeated. I have to spend lots of time fixing my posts.
