Bristol Palin's former fiancé took to Facebook Tuesday to announce that they have finally reached a custody agreement over their son, Tripp Johnston, now 7. In 2009, Levi announced that he was going to sue his high school sweetheart for joint custody of Tripp after alleging that the entire Palin family was making it difficult for him to see his son. The exes reached a child custody stipulation in 2010, allowing Levi to see Tripp on Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. The court never approved Levi and Bristol's agreement, however, so it never became finalized. The case was dismissed in 2012 for lack of activity. Then, in 2013, Levi filed a petition in which he sought at least equal custody of Tripp.

Full title: Levi Johston Wins Custody Battle Against Bristol Palin After Seven Years and “Aound $100,000” in Legal Fees
I know nothing about them, but I usually hate it if a dad doesn’t get to share custody.
The Palins are becoming the conservative Kardashians. Whatta train wreck !
I’m trying to figure out why he’s the one paying child support. I’m pretty sure she makes a hell of a lot more than he does.
Kids are better off with joint custody, so other than taking another cheap shot at the Palins, which obviously fall short of the standards of perfection demanded by some FReepers, what’s wrong with this?
geez DD, maybe becuz she has primary custody?
There were about fifteen custody cases in the local family court today. None of them made the news
Because this isn’t news. This is a private matter. Let’s stop gawking.
It doesn’t matter what she makes, he needs to contribute financially to the raising of his child.
What is wrong is that Levi Johnston had to spend 3 years and $100,000 in legal fees to receive joint custody when to my knowledge he has done nothing wrong. Whether that is the Palin’s doing or just an unfair court system I cannot say.
This guy is a real worthless scumbag. Can’t hold a job and tried living off the publicity of being married to a Palin. Wrote a tell all book that was mostly fiction. Has gotten arrested for alot of misc. stuff. Tried the modeling thing and generally got used and thrown away by the anti-Palin crowd.
“It doesnât matter what she makes, he needs to contribute financially to the raising of his child.”
Ahh. I think I got that confused with spousal support. thanks.
“Wrote a tell all book that was mostly fiction”
Probably read by a dozen people.
.
Good for him, his wife of 3 yrs and their two daughters.
"Although I do owe some back child support, altogether I have paid $50,000 in child support for Tripp, which is $600 a month, since Tripp's birth so at the end of the day I know I have worked hard to meet my obligations as a father," said Levi, who also has two daughtersâBreeze Johnston, 3, and Indy Johnston, 13 monthsâwith Sunny Oglesby, his wife of three years. "Despite what some have heard I've always been there for him, and I go to almost every school event that I can and spend all of my free time with my kids. Right now life is really looking up for our family."
Bristol Palin is her own woman.
“It doesnât matter what she makes, he needs to contribute financially to the raising of his child.”
Don’t know much about child support legal cases, do you.
Good for him and his son.
$600 a month? So what are the expenses that would cost that amount?
“The court never approved Levi and Bristol’s agreement, however, so it never became finalized”
I watched a mother and father appear before a judge acrimoniously charging each other with violating their visitation agreement which was from a divorce 3 years earlier.
When the judge found out that they didn’t have a formal agreement on paper for 3 years he found both in contempt and had the bailiffs cuff them.
“I’m putting you in cells beside each other and you’re not getting out until you have an agreement we’ll put in writing. Oh, and by the way, it’s 2:00 and I’m leaving for the weekend to go camping with the Boy Scouts at 4:00. If don’t work it out by then guess where you will be sleeping until I return on Monday”.
I think the kid's got his life on track, good for him.
Sorry I can't say the same for the Palin drama-kids.
