If you look at the Iraq war from a pure neutral point of view. It does not make any sense whatsoever! Just like Libya makes no sense! Just like what we are doing in Syria makes no sense! 911 had nothing to do with Iraq! Yet we spent all of out time, blood and money in there! For what reason? Trump is 100 percent right on this one! Take off the GOP filtered glasses and you will agree!

Bush came into office with a grudge against Hussein. Hussein had stayed in power and Bush1 had been kicked to the curb, that didn’t sit well with Bush2. Bush2 staffed his administration with a host of neo-cons who furnished him with exaggerated and false Israeli provided “intelligence” saying that Iraq had WMD’s. Bush2 chose to believe it without considering the source of the info, or questioning their motivation, because it gave him the excuse he needed to take his revenge against Hussein, going so far as to claim that Hussein had tried to kill Bush1.

I have no way of knowing if Bush2 knew the intelligence was cooked, and went ahead and used it anyway, or whether he actually believed it was legitimate.

Captains and Kings by Taylor Caldwell.

Mega rich people start wars because it’s good for business. They get other mega rich people in the media to whip up public support, the bought and paid for politicians have no choice but to go along with it. Every 20 years.
Except lately it’s pretty much continuous because the muzzies dance to their own tune.

The book actually focused on JFK and that he was taken out because he didn’t want to go along with this..and who knows if that is true or not. But I have alway felt the basic premise had merit.

Consider Iraq. After each pounding from U.S . warplanes, Iraq has dusted itself off and gone right back to work developing a nuclear arsenal. Six years of tough talk and U.S. fireworks in Baghdad have done little to slow Iraq’s crash program to become a nuclear power. They’ve got missiles capable of flying nine hundred kilometers-more than enough to reach Tel Aviv. They’ve got enriched uranium. All they need is the material for nuclear fission to complete the job, and, according to the Rumsfeld report, we don’t even know for sure if they’ve laid their hands on that yet. That’s what our last aerial assault on Iraq in 1999 was about. Saddam Hussein wouldn’t let UN weapons inspectors examine certain sites where that material might be stored. The result when our bombing was over? We still don’t know what Iraq is up to or whether it has the material to build nuclear weapons. I’m no warmonger. But the fact is, if we decide a strike against Iraq is necessary, it is madness not to carry the mission to its conclusion. When we don’t, we have the worst of all worlds: Iraq remains a threat, and now has more incentive than ever to attack us.
