One, when you use a derogatory term like “Trumpets” in your post, you lose any pretense of objectivity. It makes one wonder what your goal is here.
That aside, point two: I'm a Trump supporter, and I freely admit I'm taking a risk there. I think there's a good chance (maybe 20%, your mileage may vary) that Trump is not a political Patton, and instead he is running some sort of scam. But considering the times, I'm willing to take that chance. Others might not, and I respect that.

There’s always a chance that Trump is the ShamWow candidate, and wants to be President of the United States just as a joke, or that he’s secretly a liberal running as a conservative.
I have no past performance of Trump as President, or as an elected anything, to go on. His business and entertainment ventures seem successful.
If Trump is a closet leftist or lunatic, then I’m no worse off than if a GOPe or Dem was in charge. That’s just a fast or faster ticket to Fedzilla run amok.
If Trump is the real deal, then it’s a slim chance to reverse course for a little while at least.
I’d love for a more eloquent, less bombastic, humbler, nicer, pure conservative self funded champion from outside the beltway to miracle himself into the race, but I want to win the PowerBall, too.
Besides, the fact that Trump, personality and all, is kicking the stuffing out of the professional political critters indicates a certain competence and ability to win. You gotta win or it’s all talk.
Also, it’s damn gratifying to see the political elites running around clutching their pearls and making those faces like somebody peed in their cornflakes.
FWIW, I really appreciate the fact that you at least acknowledge the uncertainty about what you’re getting. Most Trump fans dismiss such questions as “bashing” when it is based on his history.
