Of course Han shot first! I remember it clear as day!
Even Harrison Ford himself swears he shot first. :)

Is there a link for this release? Could not find it on the ARSTechnica article.
To: Utilizer
It’s a better plot point to have Solo shoot first.

Referenced quote:
coming by even remotely decent-quality prints of Star Wars is rare. âThey all had to be destroyed after they were shown. So the ones that still exist, somebody just dug them out of dumpsters and managed to hang on to them,â he says. âTheyâre all in very, very poor condition. Theyâre all very beat up. Even the best one, even the one that was used as a reference for the Special Edition was in terrible shape. The colours are there, but the damage is just insurmountable.â
You really have to have a driving need to have a "pure" version to go to all this trouble for so many years.

Sorry. The "ExtraFonts" glitch on FR is still happening it would appear, so here is a cleaned-up version of the text previously posted:

I have no more desire to play golf than to watch Star Wars. I did finish an Issac Asimov book the other day. “Pebble In The Sky”. Not great, but killed a few hours.

Ah, thought this might be an old archive trash copy not under pirate rules.

sooooo, how many here saw the original Star Wars in the movie theater in 1977...raises hand!

I saw it opening day and I’ll tell you if its original print because one thing the sound was off with the film.... the sound would end about half second before every scene would end
