I was never a fan of New Age music, and didn’t listen to any radio stations that played it, so I didn’t know anything about Enya. It took a year or two for me to track down that “Sail Away” song I heard so often over the speakers at the supermarket. Heh. It’s a real favorite now.
While Enya is technically in the New Age category, she isn’t New Age. Her sound has always been based on the “wall of sound” from the 60’s.
