I drive down 301 every year, and, while those towns are speed traps, I have never been caught speeding there,

Why? Because I obey the law.

There is no reason to have to pay the ‘stupid tax’ or get caught in a ‘speed trap’. Just do what the signs say.

Ludowici, GA is another place to avoid if you want to break the law. They’re a trap too.

I LOVED the trip going driving south on 301. I felt like a true cracker finally!! Then as you roll into horse country near Ocala, just beautiful. I had heard though about the history of speed traps. Drove accordingly, no ticket, no problem.

Movable speed limit and town limit signs can be a problem for travelers. Lawtey was once known for that.
