I suppose the case could be made that any
change to anything means the world as we
know it is over. Luddites unite! And,
yeah, I favor unbreakable encryption.

Somewhere in that phone, all of the keystrokes that were used to create every encryption key that has been used on that phone are stored under a different key, probably held by the cell service provider.
