The first time I heard this song, I thought to myself, I have to learn this. After a couple of months, I gave up. No human being can play this. :-)

We need a break from all the strife. Nothing breaks the strife better than a great acoustic guitar solo.

Wow, thanks! He has such a joy when he plays. Saw Andres Segovia perform when he was in his 90s — most amazing concert.

I heard that song in passing while listening to Pandora. I stopped whatever I was doing and checked it out to see the name of the song and the artist. Klimbim? What the hell kind of name is that? Don Ross? Who the heck is that?
It is now one of my all time favorite pieces and Don Ross is another acoustic guitar master. He uses a lot of very bizarre tunings and his mastery of the alternate tunings and harmonics is just amazing.

and the mixture/timing of percussion intertwined with
soft chording is amazing
I don't play guitar but I have enough working sense of the human body to understand the complexities of mixing two or three elements that are ordinarily separated ...

Don would almost make two of Andy though ... McKee’s ‘Drifting’ is one of my alltime favorites. And Ross’s ‘My Previous Life’ is another.

If “guys” like that would cause you to throw your guitar into the river, then how will you react to a 15 year old girl who can do this:

This one was really nice, almost kept it for my personal collection, but as that collection now stands at about 14,000 CDs, I have to restrain myself.
