A photographer captured an image of a polar bear in the Canadian Arctic that has gone viral.
Sebastian Copeland blamed climate change for the death--or more specifically, the melting sea ice in the area, which makes it harder for the polar bears to hunt. The picture shows a polar bear's emaciated corpse on a patch of rocky ground, which Copeland came across while trekking in the Arctic.
"For the state of the ice in general, we're headed into uncharted territory. There's no doubt about it," Copeland wrote accompanying the photograph in his new book "Arctica: The Vanishing North," reported the Daily Mail.
"The frozen remains of this young bear point to starvation. "The faster retreat of the sea ice, a bear's favoured spot for seal hunting, leads to longer fasting periods and the demise of more animals from starvation."

Yeh LOL! Have him tell that story to the guys working the North slope who cant’ move from one building to another unless there are snipers on the roofs to take out the Polar bears waiting in ambush.
I call “BS” on this LIB-idiot photographer. The bear could have died from old age or anything else. Sheesh! These degenerate “warmers” are so full of BS.
Polar bears 'thriving as the Arctic warms up'In the Davis Strait area, a 140,000-square kilometre region, the polar bear population has grown from 850 in the mid-1980s to 2,100 today.
"There aren't just a few more bears. There are a hell of a lot more bears," said Mitch Taylor, a polar bear biologist who has spent 20 years studying the animals.
His findings back the claims of Inuit hunters who have long claimed that they were seeing more bears.
"Scientific knowledge has demonstrated that Inuit knowledge was right," said Mr Taylor.
" Yaaaaay! Global Warming! More!!"
It’s amazing.
Polar bears never died before.
They were immortal.
Now, suddenly, someone found a dead one.
In the 1950’s the population was estimated at 5000, now it’s over 26,000 - despite the fact that most ‘Polar Bear’ organizations try to portray anything regarding these creatures as a crisis - which is in their interest.
So if someone manages to take a photograph of a single dead polar bear, it means it’s the end of the species! They aren’t supposed to die!

Polar bears die like everything else.
People make too many ASSumptions.
That was my first thought, too. The corpse is just a little too neat and tidy. What? There's no wind up there to blow the fur around. It's just nice and neat and clean and sprinkled evenly around the *corpse*.
Wouldn't the fur of a dead animal be dirty and covered with the nastiness that a rotting body would cover it with?
That's true. There was no death before evil conservatives learned how to harness fire... it's all our fault.
Actually, they are more like Highlander. Immortal until another immortal strikes off their head. There can be only one Polar Bear. If you look closely at that picture, there is a huge Scottish broadsword. Same old story.
