^^^ This is exactly what shut my mom down toward Cruz. In her mind, he’s taking our Lord’s name in vain and that’s the worst sin that he could commit.
When Cruz’s wife said that he was anointed by G-d to be president, my mom was out.
Once you pull G-d into it, you’ve created a whole new ball game and you must be upright at all times.
Exactly. My first concern was when he misused the Whole Armor of God regarding political attacks, then his dad misused “by their fruits”, then his wife with the anointed which is part of their dominion theology and researching that really concerned me especially as a cult deprogrammer. I am leery of anyone who tells me that G-d anointed them to political office. We are not Israel.
I think he does take G-d’s name in vain and CS Lewis warned us about people who confuse politics with faith.
