You do realize that not all of us follow in lock-step with all conservative positions, right? Many of us are actual libertarians and, while primarily conservative, go ‘grey’ on some issues.
And some of us are die-hard conservatives who are sick and tired of our own candidates telling us one thing, then doing another after they get elected.
Even the ones who remain ‘pure’ and weak and ineffective.
So, when you’re pushing the ‘most conservative’ candidate, many of us see yet another loser.
Cruz will never beat Hillary in the general. She doesn’t have a shot.
Sure I do when I’m libertarian on some issues myself, on entitlements for example, and a diehard conservative, on immigration. When you start talking about “grey areas,” I worry you mean that some go left on certain issues. As for being “pure” but weak, I would beg to differ quite a bit. Your assertion that Cruz cannot beat Hillary is unfounded and very alarming. This defeatist mentality and concession to the Democrats helps explain why the establishment in the Republican Party neglects you and why the Democrats are openly running socialist candidates.
