When Cruz’s wife said that he was anointed by G-d to be president, my mom was out.

Once you pull G-d into it, you’ve created a whole new ball game and you must be upright at all times.

Exactly. My first concern was when he misused the Whole Armor of God regarding political attacks, then his dad misused “by their fruits”, then his wife with the anointed which is part of their dominion theology and researching that really concerned me especially as a cult deprogrammer. I am leery of anyone who tells me that G-d anointed them to political office. We are not Israel.

I think he does take G-d’s name in vain and CS Lewis warned us about people who confuse politics with faith.

Nonsense. Don’t dish out rude remarks and expect a mushy reply. As for substituting Ted Cruz’ name into quotes by Donald Trump, doesn’t that strike you as silly and absurd? You simply cannot grapple or excuse away your candidate’s record. Given those quotes, how do you not see Ted Cruz as being the right choice for the Republican nomination or the better candidate against Hillary?
