I’ve never really known much about Lady Gaga other than picking up snippets of reports about her garish, outlandish antics over the years; I always assumed she was a wastoid p.o.s. with marginal talent, corrupting our youth and society, etc. So when people raved about her doing such a phenomenal job singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl I was curious, and found/played the video (I’d missed the opening of the event). It really was a great rendition. So there’s that. Eh?

Re Lady Gaga, check out the YouTube videos of her singing duets with Tony Bennett. Some very fine work there. I was pleasantly surprised.

And a side note to the Bennett-haters (not meant for you, IChing): Yes I know Bennett is a lib, but he's also a combat vet of WW II. So I'm not interested in hearing anything bad about him.
