If youâre a dedicated country music fan, just hearing the names Joey and Rory Feek is probably enough to produce tears streaming down your face.
But if, like many others, those names donât yet ring a bell, you might want to grab some tissues before reading on â or before watching Monday nightâs Grammys. Youâre going to hear a lot about the couple over the next few days.

I’m sure these are lovely people ... but I’m a country music fan, and I’ve never heard of them except in the context of the lady’s illness.
Iâve never heard of them except in the context of the ladyâs illness.
"It's all over my BookFace." (Which, is the only place I've ever seen them referenced.)
I’ve seen a couple of items on FR. I don’t do the other social media.
They are COUNTRY music, not the pop crap with a twang that's out today.
I've listened to country almost all my life. Stopped listening to the new stuff this last year.
I think the intellect level of the new songs has dropped 20-30 pts over the last few years.
Tax-chick, knowing you from FR, I think you might like their stuff. Their music has got just good old fashioned values to it. Check them out on youtube

Thanks, I’ll have a look.
I agree with you that most of the new music on the radio is crap.
Seen God do AND not do many things.
Been somewhat a fan of Joey and Rory for 5 or 6 years now.
Had read of their story not long after hearing of them and thought how wonderful God was to bring them together. The music they do and the life they try to live.
And now this cancer and their special needs daughter.
Leaves me scratching my head, literally asking "why God"?
I'm a big burly construction worker. This, what they are going through BREAKS my heart.
I think of them fairly regularly now, wonder how they are doing and pray that God would strengthen them and comfort them and hopefully heal Joey.
Within the last month Joey's dad became a Christian and she said that alone makes this all worth while to her.
May God comfort and strengthen them now. May he heal her, if he so chooses.
Good sound.
This story has many inaccurate facts. Joey developed Cervical Cancer with in a few months of Indiana’s birth, Indiana is a Down’s child, she did go through the surgery and treatment. But a few months after she completed her treatment, she felt bad, and went back to the cancer center, where the doctors found a 9 MM Sigmoid Stage 4 Colon Tumor. Surgery, treatment, pronounced cured. Went for a post treatment CT and more Stage 4 Colon Tumors were found. It is the Stage 4 Colon cancer that is KILLING her. She is doing Hospice at her family home in Alexandria, IN. Their home a big farm from which they record and hold shows is in Pottsville, TN. They are a strong Christian couple, and give God due glory.
Please add Joey to your pray list.
There last gospel album is old fashion Gospel that Joey sings. I just got my copy from Amazon as I pre-ordered it.
Read the story for yourself http://thislifeilive.com/ there are lots of photos and stories of their Cancer journey and Indiana’s birth.
Rory “And now, here I sit beside my dying wife.
I donât say those words lightly. As a matter-of-fact, I havenât said them at all. But my beautiful bride has said them to me in these couple of days. Her pain and discomfort has continued to increase daily and so has the morphine to help her be comfortable. The dosage sheâs needed to keep the pain away has quadrupled in the last four days.
Iâd like to tell you that sheâs doing great and is going to beat this thing. But I canât.
Yesterday with tears in her eyes and mine, Joey held my hand and told me that she has been having serious talks with Jesus. She said she told him that if Heâs ready to take her⦠sheâs ready to come home.
Our âmake-believeâ song and video seems to be coming true.
Some call it âlife imitating artâ. I donât.
I call it God.
He knew I would need her to tell me goodbye⦠not just once, but a thousand times. And Iâd need to know that no matter how much time passes, that she loves me still. And He made it so that if I needed to be reminded of her beautiful life and heart and voice⦠she would only be a âclickâ away.”
Rory is a song writer and has been in Nashville a long time.
Joey Martin Feek a singer became his bride 14 yrs ago. Hope you will enjoy their music. It is old school.

There are times in our lives we all ask God ‘why’. I had to ask Why was my 16 year old mentally and physically delayed son murdered by a sociopath killer? Why my husband of 23 yrs died of a massive sudden heart attack. HE has His plans, and HE is always right. We are the ones who can’t comprehend what it is. Nor His timing.
I’ve been a fan ever since I heard them on Whispering Bill Anderson’s Country Family Reunion and they did the Bible and the Belt. RFDTV is the only place that carries it and they have reruns of Joey and Rory’s TV show.
