It took me about 6 months to come to the conclusion that FB is working for the government. I killed my page.
I also knew the government was tracking people on FB. Some relatives of mine called me a “dumb POS” over the comment.
(I also realized it was a huge waste of time.)

Yes.
And there are some advocating that if you do not have a Facebook page (or a social media presence) you should not be hired. Of course, that’s up to the employer but to advocate for that is beyond the pale IMO.
