Smith may be one of the bigger names mentioned in the lawsuit, but the parents are also going after Little League International, as well as officials connected with the program. I side with the parents on this one. How were they expected to know the ages of their children? /sarc

As if it’s not hard enough trying to figure out who their fathers are - expecting them to remember ages is just plain unreasonable.

With Little League, the age thing is now somewhat complicated. My son is 7, but because his birthday is in late July, he is 8 in Little League years. The cutoff day is August 31.

I don’t think age of the players was an issue. They were accused of using players from other districts and manipulating district lines to ensure certain top players were included in their district.
