A Muslim pilgrim was seen on camera giving water to a thirsty cat which stood at a stone seat licking the water from the manâs hands without any fear.
A YouTube film showed the man, who is performing Umrah (mini pilgrimage), cupped his hands and filled them with tap water before giving it to the cat.
'Ajel' newspaper said the film was shot at the Grand Mosque in the Western town of Makkah, the worldâs largest mosque.
Would he do it for a dog?
must not have been a Jewish or Christian cat
Nice.
What about a thirsty pig? Wearing red high heals?
Does the cat know where one of those hands has recently been?
Really, what's the point of the post?
FMCDH(BITS)
Well, no. Dogs get injected with acid. Not dog people, these peaceful folks.
When we were in Israel two years ago we saw cats everywhere. We could pet them and feed them, they had no fear of people. A Syrian friend told me that the same is true there as well, that this is common throughout the Middle East.
Cats are probably in short supply in Aleppo these days.
Yeah, well, you’re probably right.
Dinner?
The point is that adherents to the violent moon death cult have moments of sanity.
Cut of that man’s head Immediately!
PING over to Slings And Arrows.
If a pilgrim cared for a dog in Makkah, THAT would be headline news.
Caring for a cat? Not so much. Cats have been popular in the Near East since prehistoric times; cats are constantly washing themselves, so unlike dogs they are considered ritually clean.
My dog is always cleaning himself, too. When he wants a kiss, I say, “ Not until you brush your teeth!”
There a video going around FB of what Muzzies do to the dogs they encounter.
DO NOT go looking for it.
I will never get it out of mind.
:(
Stray dogs that wander into mosques are usually killed, often beaten to death horribly.
Ibizan Hounds are cleaner than any cat you’d ever meet.
In the 25 years of owning them, I *never* had to bathe them.
No matter how much mud or snow they ran through, 5 minutes after they came back in, they were sparkling clean again.
Fussy, prissy, obsessively clean dogs.
They literally have no smell, at all.
Weird.
Cat says, “This tastes a lot like camel whiz . . . but I’m really thirsty.”
