Thank God they are only around here for a few weeks. My cardiologist would shoot me if he saw me eat those! So good though.

I'll have the raspberry please.

I just had these for the very first time. They just looked like regular doughnuts to me, but when I ate one...wow! Not regular at all.

I don’t truly miss Chicago often, except when it comes to Polish food. And pizza. And Italian beef sammiches.
To: DickBrannigan
I married into a Polish family. My general opinion of Polish food is that they boil everything until there is no taste, and then serve it with 1/2 pound of butter.
These things are the exceptions.

Just brought 40 in for the crew at work (we work nights). Will production be up, or down? I’ll see at 0330.

I forgot to get any this year and I live right near Hamtramck. Probably don’t need any, though.

Just did our yearly run. Only donuts I eat unless we get Krispy Kreme on vacation.
Got six boxes and six flavors — I have five kids, teens and early twenties, all of us are fans.

Mmmmm, Runzas. Once in a while I go looking for a localish Runza place, and get faked out when one pops up in Chicago, Nebraska. I should track some down the next time I visit my parents in Sioux Falls --gotta be a boatload of places in Omaha, I'd think.

Kroger, Meijer, local Spartan stores now start selling them at least 2 months before Fat Tuesday, some all year long, though not sure if they are the same(heard they are not)...and I've never seen them do the custard ones(my personal favorite).
Was thinking about doing the Hamtramck road trip today(always wanted to)but weather was pretty lousy, didn't want the hassle, so just bought local.
Hit my limit of 3 for the day(yes, piker)...but hear the other 3 calling my name from the kitchen.

Time for a run to Helens Deli in Wood Dale. Raspberry, blueberry, and cheese. 2 of each.
