xsboy is going to be moving out and into an apt this weekend, with two of his friends from HS. He had been looking with a bigger group of friends to rent a house for 5, but one guy had a dog and they just were not finding anything. I said, as a single family house owner I would NOT want 5 20 somethings living next door under any circumstances, so that was just not going to work for him. This is a 3 br 3 bath apt in Arlington, EXTREMELY nice, I mean nicer than anything his father or I ever lived in apartment-wise. comes with parking spaces etc. So I am excited for him, but at the same time, I am ready to bawl about it. I know it’s irrational, and I can hardly complain to my friends who have kids living in other states etc. but it makes me sad to have the nest vacated by another one. Thank the lord xsbaby has nowhere to go anytime soon or i’d be a basket case.
Sunrise, sunset.
I guess affording an apartment on your own is totally out of the question.
I can’t freakin wait for Annie to move out and get on her own! I’m selling my house and buying one with Kelly this year, if all goes well, and I really need Annie to get her ducks in a row and move on. Too bad she has her mothers attitude and every employer she has had this year has been a real asshole and she can’t work for them. She can’t afford her own stuff, but always has money to go out with friends/boys, etc. Amazing.
It’s hard letting go. You know I didn’t handle it all that well. I expect at those prices home may just look good in another year. LOL
Sounds like a great apartment though - and I assume private parking spots are a luxury? I know the one apartment my daughter had in college that had a double garage with the door opener was a huge luxury for them! She went from sharing that apartment to a single with just some nearby parking and hated it! If she had a late shift at the hospital she rarely could find parking near her door.
