It is as if the political class doesn't want to understand voters because doing so would threaten their presumed expertise (and, in turn, their careers and pocketbooks). As Tom Hagen said during his last meeting with Jack Woltz: "You are deliberately misunderstanding me."
The next morning, Woltz woke up with something unpleasant in his bed.

I am still sitting here wondering when the Democrat Party became the DemoCRATIC party.
When did all the liars, muggers, and thieves become demoCRATIC, I thought they were just demoCRATS.
Words mean things people; I have watched this evolution of the language long enough to know that when words change it usually bodes ill for conservatives.
