Political correctness reigns. If you accept that women and men are totally equal without any difference, then I guess the logical conclusion is that women should be treated just like men and be subject to the same rules.
I was surprised when Bush said something like women had to right to be in combat units. I guess he must think that it is a matter of choice whether to serve in combat or not.
That’s the problem when the majority of these dimwits that we elect have had little contact with the military.
Not since Vietnam. The Draft ended Jan. 27, 1973.
I DO NOT believe that women should serve in Combat. However, If the Liberals, Feminists and politicians (I know, that's redundant) insist on opening all Combat MOS's to women (Equality!), then women should be required to register for the draft.
If they insist that there is no difference between Men, Women and Its, then ALL must be eligible for the Draft.
If there is a difference between Men & Women, then keep them out of Combat billets and out of the Draft.
Another point: People belonging to groups sexually attracted to each other do not belong together in Combat groups or on ships. IOW, no women or queers. Unit Cohesion does not include "Co-habitation" (in the current, trendy sense of the word, not the literal meaning) or Coitus!
