This is for the Presidency, not a reality show (Vanity)
self

I take a 'True Freeper' as one who is educated, does the homework before making your decision in this election. There is but one choice...

Yea I agree, it is silly to think that the insults to supporters of either candidate is gonna change their minds or the election...

This is a vanity, not ‘news’ - should be in bloggers & personal, or ‘general chat’.

Bears repeating.

I appreciate the fact that you acknowledge the missteps. In many threads there were/are people bordering on cultish behavior making excuses for the tactics, to the point where you start to wonder if they’re paid operatives.

Good on you for not making excuses just because Ted’s your guy.

Tit-for-tat, I’ll acknowledge that Trump is crass and babbles incoherently at times. I still like him better, though. :)

I know how we can fix this eligibility thing once and for all.

We show Cruz a picture of a certain food product.

If he identifies it as Kraft Dinner instead of Mac and Cheese.....

I am not sure what that means-— I should have been more specific though, I don’t believe the insults of either candidate by posters on here, will change any of the opinions of the poster, nor will it mean a damn thing in the election...

Oh, but there definitely is a reality show aspect to the Presidency. That’s why a former actor, Reagan, was and is so revered, the role fit him like a glove because he made it fit like a glove, he seldom missed a note. He knew his audience and he knew how to make the impression that needed to be made.

You can point out numerous ways that Trump is an imperfect candidate and I might even agree with you, but being at home in the public eye and having a sense of showmanship are both useful to a President, no doubt in my mind about that.

There is genuine information on why people on FR oppose Rubio, Jeb, Christie, and Kasich, and I see a lot of value there. Trump is a showman, and we all know that is part of his act, but that is not a reason to reject him. Reagan was a showman too, and that made him a more effective candidate and president.

“I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent’s youth and inexperience.”
- Ronald Reagan, when asked whether he was too old for the job

Trump’s reality TV style doesn’t automatically mean he’s the best person for the job, but it’s not disqualifying either. An emphasis on his present or recent past positions is of far more value in making an informed choice between the two best candidates of the year (or of the past twelve years).

Re: Kraft Dinner vs ‘Macaroni & Cheese’

Some other queries to settle all the uncertainty:

IF someone pronounces the State of Maryland as “Merry-Land”, they just might be Canadian. (correct American pronunciation is ‘Marilyn’)

IF someone pronounces Baltimore as “Balt-ee-More”, they just might be Canadian. (correct American pronunciation is ‘Balmer’)

IF someone from TEXAS pronounces the word ‘business’ as “bizz-ness” they are for SURE no Texan (and could be a Canadian!) (correct TEXAS pronunciation is *BIDNESS* !!)

There is my humble contribution. ;)

Maybe the US Government should be ran more like a TV show. Things got to change! As an American these are my ideas!
1. Offer prizes for solutions to our problems—open to all like A) how to re-build the USA. B) How to solve racism? C) How to rebuild the Infrastructure. D) How to solve homelessness.
2. Offer public subscription to do the things that need to be done—as was done with the Statue of Liberty long ago. Kids could send in money. More monuments! Re-build the Cities.
3. Clean up Washington DC. Tear out the slums—no more Washington Welfare—make it a city of Parks not shooting galleies for Drug Criminals. Only elected people and a few others to even live their. It should be the safest city in America.
4. Reform the VA—its a disgrace. Fire people! Block the Unions that hold things back.
5. Monitor ALL Mosques—If they preach hate—burn em down. Want to be peaceful—good. We could do this to any nutcase church too.
6. Hold a discussion on the nature of the US Navy! How big? How many ships? What sort? Also—a US Tall ship to instill pride in the USN. The USS United States. Who should pay for it? Should be Built in the USA—of US woods.
7. A new Highspeed Train—coast to coast. 200 mile an hour job or better. New York to San Francisco!

Better? Not necessarily. Yours is more factual, I’m a marketing guy. There’s a time and a place for both.

(correct American pronunciation is ‘Balmer’)

The correct native Baltimore pronunciation is "Balmer." Everybody else pronounces it like it's spelled. BALL-tuh-mor.
