End ALL subsides. But it will not happen until the gubmint is bloated.
It gets bloated because there are “good” subsidies and there are bad subsidies. This circular logic prevents the subsidies and also causes the gubmint growth.
The reality is that ALL subsidies are bad, because they are not freemarket solutions.
Yep, power and influence for the Executive/Federal bureaucracy, Congress/career politicians, and lobbyists.
“If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.”
“The reality is that ALL subsidies are bad, because they are not freemarket solutions.”
~10 steps too far.
They are unconstitutional. PERIOD.
IMO, and no offense to you, this is why ‘we’ lose debates/ideas. Start at #1, THEN expand if required. Too many times ‘we’ get embattled in ‘...now, we’re just settling on the cost”, instead of starting with, “I’m NOT a wh0re”.
