That’s how I feel at 59.
Not much better, now that I'm near 62. I quit running after I got out of the Army, I was in during the days where PT was run in Jump boots.
I was off and on as far as exercise went. My physical activity came from trying to keep up with my kids' schedules, i.e. more mental than physical.
Was diagnosed with type II about 3 years ago, a real game changer. Eating better, walking a lot more. I try to get in 3-4 walks a week (5-7 miles each), more when the weather's nicer.
Last two years, I've hiked a local trail from my house and back, about 16 miles. I've got 3 more months to get ready for it.
I’ll be 59 in two months, played basketball, baseball, and pole vaulted in HS. I was too vertically challenged to play basketball further, so played baseball.
Apparently I am now a better athlete than Joe Montana, although my throwing arm is total crap from baseball, I ran 1.5 miles before work today.
