Same reason one of the Super PACs is selling phony Trump hats on Amazon. Proceeds to the PAC. I can’t remember if is the Senate one or not. None of the hats on Amazon are the real ones.
Read the article i posted above - Trump’s campaign partnered with Newsmax to distribute the fundraiser (w3.newsmax.com is a Newsnax server). Newsmax, in turn, got a percentage of each donation, and so the payments were processed by a third-party vendor (piryx), not Trump’s website.
It’s not a scam, and it’s not fake.
Fun post. Good tagline.
I hope you end up arrested and in jail for this, I really do. You know full well that is a scam that you are promoting or someone at newsmax is.
"Recently Newsmax became the exclusive online representative for the Trump campaign for their online fundraising," the e-mail from Rodriguez reads, according to a copy that was forwarded to the Post. "The Trump team is willing to pay 3rd party email list owners like yourself 30 percent of gross donations made to your email list. We launched this donation effort on Newsmax to our internal lists this past weekend, and it has been a huge hit, to say the least."
Andrew Brown, chief operating officer for Newsmax Media, confirmed the relationship to the Post, but wouldn't share details on its success or the scale of the outreach.
"Currently we are representing Mr. Tump's online fundraising campaign," Brown said. He added that the Trump campaign is "one of several presidential campaigns that are advertising with Newsmax Media" at the moment. "We have a four-million user e-mail list that is one of the best in conservative circles," Brown said, "and we have relationships with a number of other conservative e-mail lists."
Doesn’t look like any Trump email I’ve received.
Could be supporters of other candidates are so used to the constant begging for money, that they assumed Trump’s would be the same when counterfeiting one.
I am on his list, and have never gotten a solicitation.
Oh please. he has never made any bones about the small donations. He has talked about them many times. People know he doesn’t “need” any money, but maybe we want to give? people offer him the money. He sends back or does not accept any large donations outside the small personal contributions. What people send in is a miniscule part of the total cost of running a campaign. Go pick nits elsewhere.
In Iowa, he slept at the Holiday Inn Express. Did you know that, or do you just throw out insulting posts being ignorant of the facts?
I believe the wife is beyond what one would consider a trophy, she is no slouch. You probably know that already.
Many months ago, Trump heard about the PAC set up by people he doesn't know,
I remember hearing about some PAC that tried to start, using Trump's name or tagline....that Trump quickly shut down.
Yes, the Make America Great Again PAC did shut down (although their website is still up and it is unknown if they returned all the unspent donations). But only after coming under scrutiny for its direct ties to Trump and his campaign. As far as the PAC being set up by people Trump doesn't know, that's not true.

The "super PAC" that was soliciting contributions to support Donald J. Trump's presidential run is closing down after questions arose about whether the strategist who is running it had direct ties to the campaign.
Mr. Trump's campaign advisers have insisted he did not condone the super PAC. But early in the summer, there were loose discussions within Mr. Trump's circle about having his corporate adviser Michael Cohen depart the campaign to help steer the outside group. Yet those conversations were abandoned as the criticisms of such groups became central to Mr. Trump's message, said a person briefed on the talks who is not authorized to speak publicly.
But there were still ties to the campaign. The Washington Post also reported that Mr. Ciletti was seen in the Trump offices within weeks of the campaign starting. Corey Lewandowski, Mr. Trump's campaign manager, told the paper he did not know Mr. Ciletti, but later acknowledged that he did.
Two firms associated with Mr. Ciletti received business from the campaign; one of them, WizBang Solutions, a direct mail service, is among the preferred vendors of the conservative grassroots organization Americans for Prosperity.
Mr. Lewandowski worked for the organization until he went to work for Mr. Trump earlier this year - he had overseen voter registration efforts for the group in 2014, when a controversial piece of direct mail containing inaccurate voter registration information was sent by the group to tens of thousands of North Carolina residents, leading to allegations of voter suppression, charges the group denied. An A.F.P. spokesman could not immediately say whether WizBang or another vendor produced that piece of mail, although he said the group had a rigorous vetting process for the nearly 10 firms it has on its list of preferred vendors.

The Make America Great Again PAC is shutting down amid a flurry of scrutiny centered on the group and its ties to the Trump campaign, one built in part on Trump's relentless assertion that unlike other politicians, he isn't beholden to deep-pocketed donors and special interests. The PAC is also linked to a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization in the same name, which can raise unlimited contributions from anonymous donors.
"All activities/committees related to Make America Great Again will be shut down," Mike Ciletti, a consultant with the PAC, told CNN. "As I have said from the start, I believe the focus should be on the issues and the candidates."
The super PAC's shuttering was first reported by Politico.
Trump's campaign has repeatedly insisted that it never sanctioned the establishment or operations of any super PAC, including Make America Great Again.
Still, Trump had attended at least two fundraising events that benefited Make America Great Again, including one hosted at the home of his daughter's in-laws, Charles and Seryl Kushner. Seryl Kushner donated $100,000 to the super PAC, a source close to the family told CNN in August.
