Ted Cruz just doesn’t make enemies of the Left. He eventually alienates everyone with his sleaze.
We’ve been warned to this stuff in a few recent cases now. At some point it’s going to inflict serious damage to lots of good people not just Carson.

Cruz and to some extent Rubio have given Trump an outstanding counterpoint to the NY Values nonsense. Trump can just brand Ted and Rubio with “D.C. Values” and tie the Carson thing to them as in this is what people do in D.C. Burnishes his outsider creds and also can tie in his self funding. D.C. Values equals dirty tricks and dirty money. Just more of the same from D.C.

Trump only has a valid point if you take his word for what happened.
If you look at the facts, not so much. Plenty of people who weren’t on Cruz’s team saw the CNN report the exact same way — that Carson was pulling out. I thought so myself. A rational person would blame either CNN or Carson’s own people for reporting the situation so stupidly (depending on what CNN knew with the initial reports).
If this bothered me in the slightest, which it does not, it I would blame Carson for letting it happen.
