It is getting around, and I wonder how many people are aware of it.

Don't know. My wife does (neurologist), however it was a surprise to many including some medical staff in the DR where we have a project.

All around this strikes me as Fubar. The history, the spread, disinformation already and no serious discussion on eradication. We need to bring back DDT asap.

Just a couple summers of judicious application, and the problem should be moot, unless the disease can be serologically transmitted by mosquitoes from one infected person to another person. The STD aspect is not good, either, and it will be around to stay unless there is a vaccine developed or a cure.
