I was somewhat amazed my laptop made the Win 7 >> 10 transition seamlessly.
Somebody told me since Ballmer is gone, customer service isn’t a forbidden term at MS any more.
Well duh, Microsoft 10 has been working hard to trick me into downloading it. I’m sure it’s nailed lots of other people.
That’s nice. I’m sticking with Windows 7.
Free stuff (Windows 10) is always a big seller in a Socialist country.
Coercion doesn’t count.
Did you hear that Microsoft acquired Electrolux?
After making numerous design revisions, they will
finally be releasing a product that doesn’t suck!
Microsoft would use roofies on a woman, then brag to their friends that she must really like them.
They should call it Windows "SPY."
No thanks. I'm not ready for 1984 just yet.
My 8 yr old windows XP crashed and my husband bought a rebuilt 7 that was glitchy. Just bit the bullet and bought a new computer with 10. I don’t do anything fancy so it has been fine. I HATE change so I am glad that I won’t get that constant nagging to upgrade LOL!
Fake but real.
They have setup 10 as a drive by install, allowing anyone to simply click OK.
Here at our company we have over 1000 computers and half have been infected with Windoze 10....
Wish our IT deoartment would lock down the browers.
I have heard that if you did not back up on to an external hard drive you info/pictures.....you will lose it. That could be a bad, all those family photo’s gone in a click
It's actually quite impressive that MS has one OS that runs on more than half of the PCs in existence. Add to that the fact that Win 8/8.1, XP, and 10 each run on more devices than MacOS and all other PC OS's combined.
...my household currently has Win 7, Win 8.1, Win 10, and Linux Mint (Cinnamon) running as primary OSs. If I count the VMs too, I have Kali Linux and a SIFT Workstation (Ubuntu).
What a stupid not-a-news-story. Windows XP is declining. You can’t get new XP machines and the old ones are dying or being upgraded. Windows 10 is growing. Windows 10 updates are being pumped by constant reminders that it is free for a limited time. If you buy a new computer it will be Windows 10 unless it is a Mac or Chromebook. Making a pie chart is not news.
Business Insider is not business and not insider. They got a cool domain name and that is all. Otherwise they are as liberal as Huffington Post and the New York Times.
I have 10 computers, 8 desktop and 2 laptops. They all run Windows 7 and every time I boot them up I have to decline an offer for a free upgrade to Windows 10. When Windows 7 dies I will switch to Mac.
