Well, I'm not a mod, so I can't delete posts anyway.
Tonight's caucus thread is here:
From the FR Caucus, 31 January '16 results:
Trump 67.64%
Cruz 26.91%
It is a possibility that Roberts was threatened by 0bama with investigation of the adoption of his children from Ireland which prohibits foreign adoptions.
Wow...Cruz is collapsing here. I can only imagine what’s happening in Iowa.

He’s represented conservatives well.
It’s just that some have gotten distracted by the feel good rock star .
The white obama. THAT’S creepy.
Alot of Pro Cruz people have either left or been banned. There is nobody I personally know that has recently changed from supporting Cruz to Trump. Freerepublic is not typically filled with undecided voters.
So your results show one of two things.
1. There has been a sudden swing of support of Trump on FR, which I haven't seen evidence. 2. There are less people that support Cruz visiting FR due to the unusually harsh environment towards them.
I guess we will all see soon. I believe Cruz is the best choice, and I am sure those that support Trump believe just as much that Trump is the right person. I pray whatever is best for this nation happens.
“It is a possibility that Roberts was threatened by 0bama with investigation of the adoption of his children from Ireland which prohibits foreign adoptions.”
Well then, that’s certainly a good reason to destroy the health care system for a country of 300+ Million people, right?
I mean, paying “hush money” is always a valid excuse, right?
Ted can cry all he wants about Roberts not being the man of character that he thought he was, but he owns this.
His protestations are no more valid than a baseball manager saying tonight’s loss shouldn’t count because the relief pitcher got the job done last night.
There's been no "conservative collapse" of Free Republic (it's two words, by the way).
What's happened, is that more and more conservatives are seeing through the phoney globalist, Ted Cruz. He is not a conservative, as evidenced by his votes for TPA and the horrendous Corker bill. His immigration plan also spells out in plain English, that he intends to leave the tens of millions of illegals present in our country untouched. He only intends to deport the "criminal illegals".
That should be a red flag to any thinking person, that Ted Cruz is on board with supporting the illegal invasion and the wholesale colonization of our country.
I'm really disappointed in Ted, because I also believed in him. I voted to send him to the Senate, and donated four times to his presidential campaign. Since then, he's broken faith with me too many times for me to overlook.
I'm sure that many other Freepers feel the same way. We're merely reacting to things Ted himself has done to lose our trust.
You call voting for TPA and the Corker bill, "representing conservatives"?
In what alternate universe is that even remotely true?
Maybe the good folks of Iowa are shaming him. We'll see tomorrow.
I like Cruz fighting for what’s right.
He hasn’t succeeded in doing much and that’s the Washingtonians fault, not his.
It’s also not his fault that some 230 years after the Constitution was ratified we don’t have a clear position on who can run for POTUS.
Cruz’s participation in this cycle is vital.
Good one! Turnabout is fair play.
Right thread, here:

Today's the day! :)
those whom the gods would destroy, they first make proud . . .
or something like that.
While you believe it is a slim possibility: you might want to prepare for results that you disagree with.
just saying . . .
I don't think that this is a fair assessment. But it does seem extremely consistent with what Cruz supporters have been saying in post after post. Many come across as very sore losers.
My parents were conservative Republicans but from as early as I can remember being aware of politics I have been even more conservative than they ever were.
I admired Ted Cruz to begin with but he always seemed a little creepy and socially inept. This weird “shaming” mailer just seems like one more good example of why he rubs me the wrong way. I just don't really trust him.
To me Mr. Trump seems more sincere and more willing to stand up for what he believes in. I believe that he will make his best effort to do what he has been willing to say. I think that he has the best leadership experience and charisma. I believe that the country needs a businessman to get us out of the mess the country is in... not another lawyer.
I find being judged as not conservative by self-righteous Cruz supporters because I am currently supporting Trump to be an every thread occurrence. I haven't heard any Trump supporters judging the conservative credentials of Cruz supporters.
As for the explanation for the collapse of Cruz support in the FR Caucus... I don't think that it is necessarily indicative of anything outside of Free Republic. I think that it is takes a lot of energy to keep up a high level of hate, discontent and enthusiasm all at the same time. That combined with the low maturity level of so many Cruz supporters here just makes them more likely to pack up their balls and go home when people object to their bullying.
What's happening in this little, small-sample-size, voluntary opinion poll here on FR--where the Trump supporters are very enthusiastic and think this "FR caucus" means something, and where many Cruz supporters have been driven off or are no longer participating in this thread--this may have nothing at all to do with what is happening in Iowa.
