Several good thoughts posted here. Of course it is outrageous that a school would promote Islam over our Christian heritage, but Satan is powerful and having lots of tactical success on battlefield earth lately. Thank God we have the Book and we know how the story ends, and we are "waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." And yet, it is still very sad to watch our beloved "America" and the Constitution being assaulted from within. I applaud the Marine (story doesn't give his rank) for what he is doing. At least he is standing on his principles and taking action. It is a big committment of time and money, and it potentially could impact his career. My two oldest kids did very well in public school, but my youngest did not and I wish I had put her in private school. However, I believe she would have struggled anywhere she was because of “wanderlust.” My son went to a large public school and carried a big (duck taped) Bible with him to school. To him it was a badge of honor and a witness. He was a leader, athlete and academically gifted, but not arrogant. He was bold and when given the opportunity he would “defend his faith” in class. Everyone is different. Repeat, everyone and every situation is different and you must fo what is right for you, before God.

Of course as usually happens when posting, between editing and distractions, there are several informative posts not read. IF this particular situation is an overreaction by this Marine, the fact remains that our Christian heritage is being assaulted on all fronts, especially in the public schools.
