Ronald Reagan ran for President twice before he was elected. Back then Conservatives didn’t drink the kool-aid or jump on the cult of personality bandwagon.
Stop comparing Trump to Reagan; it’s sickening.

Reagan never had “New York values,” i.e. partial-birth abortion, single payer health care. Democrats were more conservative back in his day, when JFK was running on tax cuts.
