Hello, I am from Japan and new here. My real name is Tomoko. I have been here in the US for almost 5 years and I will apply for citizenship at the end of 2016 when I become eligible. I learned English in a private school growing up in Japan. I live a very privileged life, and come from a fortunate family. What made want to join is I just have to comment on this.

An article I came across on about the man a while back that got caught printing guns on a 3D printer (in Japan). The 27 year old college student. Same age as me. So i felt compelled to join and voice my opinion on this.

Someone on there said that we're all socialists by majority. That would be like me assuming all Americans are all brain-dead idiots. When I know that's not true. Just a generalization. All silly talk aside, That is not true. I am not a socialist, anyway, I do know that.

I am a young woman of liberty, and even if I am not living in Japan any longer, I support them in anything that they do if it involves less government overreach, and more for them. Both our countries have grown apart due to President Obama's lawlessness and now Japan tops China as the US's top debt holder. This is where the strained relationship with very little communication from the White House all started with the Obama Administration. I know all of you can agree with me on that. Obama really strained the allied relationship between us all.

I am both happy, and concerned that Japan is no longer pacifist. It's great they are able to defend their country, and themselves but there's no 2nd Amendment for Japanese. Many love guns and we commend Americans for keeping that right for such a long time. (full autos are still heavily restricted among other things, and that should not be) But ammunition is expensive on full autos and we can agree on that.

When I got my first pistol and then my first rifle living here, I was smiling from ear-to-ear. I can't do that back home.

What Americans do, Japan is highly influential of. Both cultures watch each other's actions, especially Japanese. Both political and non-political. The younger Americans who somehow, find us interesting, lol. I wish they could have the freedoms over there, like I do here. Especially the women. Many women are capable if not, more so then the men in Japan at many male-dominated positions.

I hope to get to know all of you very well,

Thank you, and God Bless!

So.. the “grl” part of your name...

Grill?
Growl?
Grundle?
Grapple?
Grovel?

Really, using the proper letters can help a lot.

Grackle?
Groogle?
Grimy-L?

A hearty welcome Tomoko.

You will like it here. Lots of gunowners who can answer any questions you may have.

Since it is after sundown where I am, I'll bid you konbanwa.

Welcome to freerepublic!

Here is a link to articles that I wrote on Yoshitomo Imura.

http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2014/10/3d-martyr-imura-gets-two-years-for.html

Here is an article on the 3D community developing a 3D printed hybrid revolver named in his honor.

http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2015/05/3d-imura-hybrid-revolver-20-printed.html

I have had the privilege of teaching a number of Japanese to shoot, who were in Arizona doing military testing.

I believe that you will make an exceptional American citizen.

Irrashaimase! Those of us lucky to have spent time in Japan understand that the cultural references are very different, and that part of the collective that seems socialist here is only the uchi there. That said, you get to shoot guns here. It evens out.

My advice is to avoid the fringe nutcases here on FR. Unfortunately that's about all of us. Not me, of course. Much. Welcome to FR.

We are honored to have you join us, BushidoGrl.
You have come at a time of strained relations in our community but please know we all do love what America once stood for and that, if even former enemies can truly become friendly allies, through conservative ideals America will endure. God bless us and keep us in His light.

Can you get all your Asian friends to stop being so self-destructive and vote conservative?

You know, like the way most Asians live their lives?
