... I disagree. We have the best selection of candidates in years. There are as many as 7 that would make great Presidents all of which are more conservative than either McCain or Romney. Focusing on just one is a grave mistake, in my opinion.
Iowans vote in 3 days and apparently a ton of them have not decided. It will set the tone for the rest of the race. That is who he is talking to.

It is easy to have brass balls in front of psychophants, much harder when fighting an entire Congress from the inside - which Cruz has done consistently.
Because Trump can appeal to the basest emotions, many “conservatives” choose to forget what Ted Cruz has gone up against while maintaining his character and conservative ideals.
If s wolf in sheep's clothing (Trump) gets elected with the help of the conservative base, we would truly deserve what we will get - another Obama.
Since there was no plausible spin they could spam FR with, they default to “swipe at everyone” mode.
Trump supporters are well known for pointing to the polls as evidence that Trump will win the primaries going away!!! Fine, but the polls have also consistently shown that Trump performs the worst of all GOP candidates against Hillary or Bernie, losing to both of them by significant margins. Why do the Trump supporters believe the primary polls, but ignore the general election polls? Or ignore the polls that show Trump with almost a 70% unfavorable rating among independents and Democrats, or the ones that show Trump having the highest percentage of all voters who say they will never vote for him?
Despite those polls, they continue to insist that somehow Trump is the ONLY ONE WHO CAN BEAT HILLARY! Actually, if we are going to give as much credence to the polls that the Trump supporters do, Trump seems to be the only GOP candidate that CANNOT beat Hillary.

The “cult of personality” line is a prepared talking point for Cruz supporters/Trump bashers. I’ve heard numerous talk radio callers use the exact phrase. It’s prepared and poll tested and served up to the minions for them to spread.
Never mind that virtually every real issue brought up in last night’s Trumpless debate was popularized and driven by Trump in the last 8 months. But somehow anyone supporting him is a TMZ fan of an idol. Childish and vapid.

You mean the polls that have shown a 15% bias to Dems for the last two elections or the ones that showed Reagan losing to McGovern by 40 pts.
Cruz had his chance last night and got Trumped.
Maybe not. The entire congress - GOPe and democrats fight against this ONE conservative. Yet, Ted Cruz stands firm and keeps the promises that he made to those who voted him in office.
