However, islam specifically claims conversion by repeating their creed 3 times. By their rules, she is a muslim if she repeats those “nonsense words” three times.
The point is for any who still think islam is compatible with any other religion - one can be tricked into their club easily, and the penalty for leaving their club can be death. Those are the rules as THEY believe them to be, and they reserve the right to enforce them on everyone else.

The point is that if she satisfied the "forms", as MortMan posted, then Muslims would claim that "she's a Muslim". They're mighty particular about their "rules". You're fairly safe if there's none around, but if they become a minority or worse yet a majority, that's when the trouble starts.
You can laugh it off now, but if Muslim commissars ever take control of that area, and those records were extant, the young lady would have trouble.
