Looks like it's official, at least for now. There will be no empty podium left for The Donald tomorrow night:
"DAILY MAIL - No trace of Donald Trump will be left at Thursday night's debate as a Fox News spokesperson confirmed that an empty podium would not be left on stage for the boycotting billionaire. Trump, over issues he had with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly, declared last night that he would not be attending the GOP debate taking place in Des Moines, just days before the Iowa caucuses. Instead, he'll hold a fundraiser across town for veterans and wounded warriors, which means rival Ted Cruz will get moved to the podium that is front and center.
In other words, if Trump doesn't change his mind soon, he won't just be able to walk on stage at the last minute.

I haven’t felt this good about the country since Niel Armstrong stepped on to the Moon!

It is the most fun election since Reagan!
Very well said!
I understand you are a Trump supporter, but, by all accounts, Cruz won every debate handily.
LOL. Last debate both Trump & Rubio wiped the floor with Cruz. He was reduced to a clapping seal after Trump smacked him down. Then after the debate Cruz was carpet bombed for days by the Media. Any more “wins” like that and Cruz will be at 10% in Iowa.
More time for Rubio to go after Cruz.
And Rand who will also be on the stage.
The debate has been reduced to the Fox Republican Debate for Second Place.

The Fox News debate is has turned into Undercard 1 and Undercard 2.
Best. Primary. Ever.
Like Mark Steyn says: “The future belongs to those who show up.”
The Fox News debate is has turned into Undercard 1 and Undercard 2.
Now that’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are!
Once again, Trump is supporting Trump, and using vets as props. If Trump supports vets as much as you say, why doesn’t he just use his own charitable foundation to raise and donate money for them? Here is a man that claims to be worth $10 billion, and yet over the last 20 years his foundation has given less than $7 million to charity, and most if not all of that was from donations made to the foundation by others. And none of the donations from the Trump Foundation that I could find went to any veterans organizations.
This is rich coming from the supporter of a candidate who is a real cheapskate when it comes to donating to charity. Mr. & Mrs. Cruzman Sachs have made millions while donating very little to charity. It’s so bad even the media is starting to pick up on it.
If you think Trump beat Cruz in debate, then fact and law
means nothing to you, just emotion.
***************
Debates have multiple meanings, aims, issues and winners. I doubt seriously anyone watching
outside a few technocrats gave a hoot about technical debate points.
The purpose effectively by each candidate was to attempt to persuade the watching voters to go
to their caucuses or polls on their appointed day and support their candidacy.
Thus the winner was the one who accomplished that objective in the larger degree. Cruz may
have gained a few points and so did Trump. But Trump still leads the populace according to
current polling.
Thank God there’s an island of maturity somewhere besides just Donald Trump.
You nailed it.
If you think Trump beat Cruz in debate, you must have actually bothered to watch the debate.
Fixed it for you.
I’m trying to remember the last time I saw a candidate turn to his debate opponent and clap wildly. I can’t recall that ever happening before. Cruz was horsewhipped and his true believers are in too deep to notice.
Really, you want to go down that road? Trump gave a TOTAL of $1000 to help the first responders after 9/11 - from a man worth $10 BILLION dollars, all he could spare was $1000. On a percentage basis, The Cruz family gave about 10X more of their income to charity than Trump did.
So, what are the chances they spend the night talking about the elephant NOT in the room? What a mistake that would be.
thank you for reminding about Reagan.
Cruz will start the slandering of Trump and all the rest will follow suit. And it will backfire big time.
I hope the polls offer “None of the Above”.
