Is Trump's Mass Adultery Relevant to His Qualifications to Being President?
News Machete ^ | 1/26/2016 | Ed Straker

Posted on 01/26/2016 8:31:42 AM PST by conservativejoy

Donald Trump has slept with a lot of married women. Don't take my word for it, take his.

Trump wrote that he once considered an open marriage with his first wife, and in his book "The Art of the Comeback" he said: "If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller."

Not only did he commit mass adultery, but he bragged about it. Should such an immoral man be elected President?

But it is a private affair, you may say. His private life, which is separate from his public life.

I don't think so. If a man is dishonest in his relationship with his wife, that shows a big flaw in his character. If he will be dishonest to the number one person in his life, he will have no qualms about being dishonest with the American people:

1) Trump has said that Ted Cruz's citizenship is no problem in September and now it is a big problem. Which time was he lying? 2) Trump has said we must accept Syrian refugees and the next day that we must not. Which time was he telling the truth?

3) Trump has said he wants to dismantle Obamacare but he has also said he supports universal health care--which is it?

4) Trump has said he likes Clarence Thomas but attacked Scalia for opposing racial quotas.

5) Trump has switched political parties five times.

6) Trump was for amnesty for illegal aliens for most of his adult life but now he says he is against it

7) Trump was for partial birth abortion for most of his life but now says he is against that too.

I think Trump's dishonesty in his personal life shows he cannot be honest in his public life, and thus he is not suited to being President.

Do you guys get paid for basically polluting the forum nonstop with your crap

You folks have cost Cruz support

Did it help your butthurt?

A lot of Cruz people here are real bitches

My advice to Ted who I do like btw is to tell whoever is overseeing his Free Republic ops is to tell them to stand down

Cruz is a conservative ideologue I think largely ....Great ! But he’s losing

Trump can win and fights all our favorite enemies here

He’s not perfect but except Cruz ideology wise he’s great too

So why are you guys having such a tantrum

Either way we win

If we require moral purity in one’s personal life as a measure of qualification for high office, then Jimmy Carter should replace Thomas Jefferson on Mt. Rushmore.....Are you positive? He was a sailor. I never had sex until I made a VN girl my Prom Queen. It’s been downhill since!

Well... The POPE said divorce is OK.

“Of course not. Why ask?”

I ask because the fact that someone is divorced does not make them untrustworthy.

One has nothing to do with the other.

“Ted is an attorney. Now all of a sudden that’s the most respected job around?”

No one said that. You are changing the subject.

I don’t see how an ‘open marriage’ and having an affair near the end of a failed marriage can be considered ‘the same’.

When a woman hits a man, she puts herself in the place of a man, and the man is permitted to strike her back.

Well... The POPE said divorce is OK.....I know. But there is this thing in vows(oaths) ..’let no MAN (human) rend asunder’. Maybe that is the reason nobody follows the Oath they take when entering service for this country. They can’t keep their Oath to God.

We need one more attorney in Washington, preferably the White House?

Might it not take an attorney to understand all the legal smeagle stuff and undo it ?

I would support the next President being an 'attorney' if he was at least ON OUR SIDE.

I would love to see the Clinton supporters twist themselves like pretzels on this matter.

I've seen this dynamic countless times this election cycle.

One has nothing to do with the other.....Reagan took an Oath to Jayne Wyman. She made one to him. He couldn’t keep his. What made people think he’d keep his Oath to country? Are you looking for a Saint or an elected official?

Trump doesn't ask for forgiveness from God.

Aren't you leaving off the rest of what Trump said in respect to 'forgiveness' ?

Sin is the transgression of the law. Adultery is a sin, one of the Ten Commandments. So is bearing false witness. Some of the Cruz supporters habitually break that commandment. Christ said you break one you break them all... This Glen Beck ‘nut job’ that posted trump's sins then bore false witness. I am not double minded... I pointed out to the Glen Beck/MaggieKelly want-a-be, their own sin, then acknowledged Trump's a sinner.

I am not upset you called me a sinner... We all are whether we believe or not. But our Creator has the perfect standard... He is not as tough on the ignorant as He is on the learned.

I didn't say they were 'the same'; I was just commenting on the fact that Donald did not seem to be as worried about remaining faithful as Ivana did. I mean, he was appearing in public with Marla long before he ever divorced Ivana, so he certainly was not trying to be discreet about it.
