My Dad said that during war the army dusted everything with ddt, bedding, tents etc. My father passed away a few years ago at the age of ninety-two. Obviously it did him no harm.
Yep, not many people had Lyme disease back then either.

But ticks are only one piece of the Lyme equation. Remember that was also the time when the deer population in the Northeast had been majorly attritted through hunting.
