Flight of the Whooping Crane (1984)
Storyline
This documentary follows the migration of the endangered Whooping Crane from its wintering grounds in Texas to its nesting grounds in Canada's Northwest Territories. The film follows a group of wildlife biologists who are tracking the cranes using radio collars. The film includes beautiful images from the ground and stunning aerial photography of a crane family as they make their way northward on a perilous 3000 mile journey. Will the new muslim migrants be growing wings so they can fly with the ultralights? Icarus was from that part of the world, so its not too much of a stretch that they will make or grow wings like he did and the ultralights will keep them from flying too high? Or will their bomb belts be too heavy?
